Assessment of industrial development potential covering MSMEs, finance, trade, labour skills, education, green industry and strategic pathways for industrial growth.

Through a holistic and integrated approach, the IDS Framework aimed to support the transformation of an oil-dependent economy, promote industry as the engine of growth and enable industry contribution towards achieving the Yemen Government’s Vision 2025.

The Challenge

Yemen's economy required greater diversification beyond traditional sources of income and stronger productive sectors capable of creating employment and private investment.

Our Role

The work contributed to industrial and sector analysis, international benchmarking and the development of strategic recommendations for industrial upgrading.

It examined priority sectors, SME development, competitiveness, investment and export potential and the institutional environment required to support industrial growth.
