IFC's Africa Leasing Facility sought to strengthen leasing markets through regulatory development, market building, institutional capacity and private-sector engagement.

Our Role

Experience included serving as M&E lead and country coordinator for Anglophone markets.

The work covered Tanzania, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia, with regional coordination from Senegal.

Key Activities

In Tanzania, work included collaboration with the Central Bank on leasing regulations.

In post-conflict Liberia and Sierra Leone, the focus included establishing the foundations for functioning leasing markets.
